RPQ-s Ground School

Remote Pilot training course for drones <20kgs

2 Day course, with web-based distance learning, multi-location

£995 (incl.VAT)

 

Mandatory for Flight Assessment:

Insurance

Students are not required to hold insurance to enrol on to the RPQ-s course. This includes undertaking the Web Based training or conducting the Ground School phase of the RPQ-s. Students will, however, be required to hold as a minimum, a valid insurance certificate* sufficient to cover all third party liabilities prior to attending their Flight Assessment.

*EC Regulation 785/2004 as defined in CAP722 – Unmanned Systems Operations in UK Airspace – Guidance, Section 1, Chapter 2, Paragraph 2.4

CAA administration fees

In addition to our course fees, students should be aware that the CAA charges an administration fee for the processing of your application for Permission for Commercial Operations (PfCO).

CAA administration fees:

  • Under 7kg =  £113.00
  • Over 7kg   = £226.00

Medical

Please note that medical requirements are only a recommendation and not mandatory by the CAA for attending the RPQ-s course. However, it is our recommendation that students have the following medical assessments to ensure that they are medically fit to operate a drone. This is part of the overall flight safety culture - fly safe, fly legal -  in which Resource Group is actively championing throughout the professional drone industry and community.

1. An NPPL medical declaration (or equivalent)
2. A colour blindness test (red/green)
