Apprenticeship Standard for Aircraft Maintenance Fitter/Technician (Fixed and Rotary wing)

The UK government initiative for Apprenticeship schemes has expanded learning paths beyond traditional University qualifications and allows for alternative funding methods to be utilised. Employers can now apply their levy funds to our industry aligned EASA Part-66 Apprenticeship Standard programme and take full advantage of the training opportunity.


ATT is approved through its legal entity LRTT Ltd in the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers (RoATP), LRTT Ltd UKPRN 10020604. ATT has delivered Apprenticeships for over 10 years, and in 2017 welcomed our largest and most diverse intake yet, with clients including: British Airways, Virgin Atlantic Airways, easyJet Airline Company, AirTanker, Cobham Aviation Services UK and Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group.

Our training is underpinned by our accreditation and approvals:

We offer Level 3 and Level 4 Apprenticeship programmes, comprising of theoretical, workshop and on-aircraft practical training within our state-of-the-art facilities. This is complemented by a period of on-the-job training with experienced licensed aircraft engineers at each employer’s operational base.
Our apprentices and trainees work towards a globally recognised industry qualification to equip them for maintaining aircraft. Our apprentices can expect to achieve an EASA Part-66, Category A licence along with a City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma and Extended NVQ qualification in Aircraft Maintenance after successful completion of the apprenticeship.


Recruitment services are available to support employers in sourcing the perfect candidates with the potential to become future engineers. Our recruitment services can include marketing, CV sifting,psychometric testing, interviews, assessment centres and activities. All of which can be tailored to meet specific requirements.
