LRTT prepare for largest Apprentice Ceremony to date

On Tuesday 17th September 2019 the Technical Training division will host its annual Apprentice Ceremony which will take place at Cotswold Airport, Gloucestershire. The ceremony will celebrate the hard work and dedication of all students who have completed the 8 months full time EASA Part-66 Category A programme with us.

The ceremony will be the biggest event to date, with over 200 individuals confirmed attending this year. Attendees include the students themselves, families and employers. Over the past year we have had 9 employers send their students to us to start their Level 3 Apprenticeship Programme (Aircraft Maintenance Fitter / Technician, Fixed-Wing, EASA CAT A Licence).

Employers include:

  • Virgin Atlantic
  • British Airways
  • easyJet
  • DHL
  • Marshall
  • Cobham
  • Avalon
  • Thomas Cook
  • Babcock

As part of the Apprentice Ceremony there will be four awards presented; these are:

  • Academic Apprentice Aircraft Award
  • Exemplar Apprentice Aircraft Award
  • Hand Skills Aircraft Award
  • Chairman Award **New for 2019**

The awards are a great way to celebrate the outstanding effort of individual Apprentices who have stood out in 4 key areas.

On the day it is a great opportunity for the families of the Apprentices to have a tour of the hangar and workshop and understand where the Apprentices have spent their last 8 months. We are really looking forward to bringing together all of the Apprentice cohorts, their families and employers to celebrate a great year of training the #NextGeneration of Engineers.
