Stuart Johnson takes on the Man vs Mountain Challenge

On Saturday 7th September one of our ATT Sales Executives, Stuart Johnson accompanied by his wife Sarah and her colleagues at Optima Group, tackled the challenging Man Vs Mountain race in North Wales. This mountain adventure starts at Caernarfon Castle and weaves it’s way over 22 miles, climbing 5055 feet to the summit of Snowdon and down the other side into Dinorwic Quarry.

The inspiration to take on such an event was to raise money for The Bomb Disposal Charity, Felix Fund. Felix Fund was set up to help any military or SO15 (Metropolitan Police Counter Terrorism Unit) personnel who have conducted or assisted with Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and search duties. They provide welfare support and financial assistance to serving personnel, veterans and their dependents.

At 8.30am, the team of 20 set off excited by the task at hand and fortunately assisted with a promising weather forecast. Many, many, many hours later and after a refreshing jump into the quarry lake and an abseil, all 20 members of the team successfully crossed the line.

Thanks to the extremely generous donations received, over £7,000 has been raised so far for Felix Fund. To find out more about the amazing work that Felix Fund do and what challenges you could get involved in, click here (https://www.felixfund.org.uk/)
