Advanced Apprenticeship in Aeronautical Engineering

Resource Group are delighted to announce that CHC Helicopters are recruiting for Aircraft Engineering Apprentices. In partnership we are recruiting for CHC for their Apprenticeship Programme starting in March 2019.

They can trace their roots back to Okanagan Air Services, which was formed in 1947, and has spent the last 70 years evolving and reaching beyond their legacy, achievements, and current high standards to constantly improve their fleet, technologies, safety, and employee performance.

What can you expect?

Over a 2 year programme you will complete a fully approved CAT A1 residential training course at LRTT Ltd based at Cotswold Airport, Gloucestershire then join teams in Ireland, Aberdeen, Humberside or The Netherlands for on the job training to build your practical experience.
You’ll be supported throughout the programme as you complete an Apprenticeship Standard in Engineering Technician – Aircraft Maintenance Fitter/Technician (Fixed and Rotary Wing) ST0457.
Your passion for electro-mechanical engineering will be turned into practical experience in an exciting and real environment where the next innovation is just around the corner.
If you are successful, you will be offered a permanent role with CHC at the end of the Apprenticeship Programme, with potential to develop your career

What do we want to see?

A minimum of five GCSEs (A-C) or equivalent including English, Maths and a Science subject; plus a range of A-Levels or equivalent qualifications, along with excellent interpersonal skills.
A passion for engineering is a must and any experience with mechanical or electrical equipment would be great to see.
