n behalf of my reputable client we are looking for a Training & Development Manager to be based in Ireland to help their employees advance their skills and knowledge and be technically compliant.
As a Training & Development Manager you should be passionate about compliance and helping people learn and grow. If you also have experience designing e-learning courses this would be an advantage as would experience in the Aerospace industry. Ultimately, you will facilitate their success by training and developing their employees to a high standard. Through their strong relationships with various OEMs, they have developed successful alliances for the repair and overhaul of a wide range of APU parts. You will be part of a business that operate a 4 bay base maintenance facility that can presently handle approx. 70 aircraft per annum, an APU overhaul centre that can handle 400 APUs a year and a Landing Gear services centre that has capacity for 250 legs annually.
Their Base Maintenance Business Unit and APU Repair Centre caters for both the Boeing B737 New Generation and Classic aircraft and Airbus A320 and A330 family.
Track budgets and negotiate contracts
Create and execute training strategies and programs for all groups within the company
Evaluate individual and company training and development needs
Implement various learning methods companywide (e.g. coaching, job-shadowing, online training, classroom style)
Design and deliver e-learning courses, workshops and other trainings
Deliver a full suite of Technical Trainings
Help managers develop their team members through career path
Liaise and build relationships with approving bodies
Assess the success of development plans and help employees make the most of training opportunities
Proven experience as a Training Manager and management of a technical training programme
Knowledge of apprenticeship programmes
Current knowledge of effective Training and Development methods
Previous experience of a highly regulatory environment
Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices
Proficient in MS Office
Excellent communication and negotiation skills; sharp business acumen
Ability to build rapport with employees and vendors
3rd level training qualification or related qualification
