Worried about Brexit? We’re not!

Brexit has been a continuous topic across the nation for a while now. Will there be a deal, no deal, delay or no Brexit? Our Aviation Technical Training division have been working hard to plan and prepare for the impact of Brexit.

In preparation for a no-deal Brexit occurring, EASA have taken the pre-emptive measure of accepting early applications for UK approved organisations to become third country approval holders with EASA. This was communicated on 02/10/2018 https://www.easa.europa.eu/brexit .

We made an application to EASA for third country status on the 26/11/2018. The outcome is that, in the event of no-deal, we will transition automatically to a third country approved Maintenance Training Organisation on the 31st December 2020 and will be issued a new approval number. Certificates of Recognition issued after this date can carry the new approval number which will be accepted by EASA.

We are pleased to announce that we have now received confirmation from EASA of the issuance of an Approval Certificate as a third country. This certificate will become extant only in the event of a no-deal Brexit. Our new approval certificate will become valid on 1st January 2021 and will allow LRTT Ltd to continue conducting theoretical training, knowledge exams and fully approved basic training courses as well as issuing Certificates of Recognition that are recognized by EASA Member states.
